Kayamkulam Kochunni all set to create new box office records in Mollywood
Rosshan Andrrews helmed Kayamkulam Kochunni starring Nivin Pauly is all set to grace the screens on this coming Thursday. While, Nivin Pauly is playing the title character in this big budget movie, superstar Mohanlal will be seen playing an extended cameo as Ithikkara Pakki. The flick is all set to break some box office records in Mollywood.
Reports say that it will have around 1600 shows on day 1 and will create a new record beating Baahubali 2, which had played around 1300 shows on day 1 here. Kayamkulam Kochunni may also break the record of Baahubali 2 in terms of the number of releasing screens here in Kerala.
Baahubali 2 had got around 320 screens here in Kerala, while Kochunni is said to be charted in more than 330 screens here. The advance booking status is also terrific and in many theaters like Thrissur Ragam, all tickets for all the shows on day 1 has been sold out.
Clearly, Kayamkulam Kochunni is all set to break the first-day collection set here by Baahubali 2 last year. The presence of Complete Actor Mohanlal along with young star Nivin Pauly has created a huge amount of hype around the movie and trade analysts believe that, if this movie gets the positive response, it may well become the second Mollywood movie to cross the 100 crore mark from its worldwide run.
