Kamal Hassan to direct Mohanlal in OMG – Oh My God Tamil remake!

If everything goes well then India’s best actors are going to share screen space once more. Yes, we are talking about Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan. Reports say that these legendary actors will join once again for the remake of a Bollywood movie.

The 2012 Bollywood movie OMG – Oh My God will be remade in Tamil with Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal. This movie will be directed by Kamal Hassan. Kamal Hassan himself will produce this movie under the banner of Raj Kamal Films.

The original version has Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar playing the leads.

In 2012 movie, Akshay played the role of Lord Krishna. This role will be reprised by Mohanlal in the Tamil remake of OMG – Oh My God. Kamal Hassan will be seen as an antique shopkeeper, the character played by Paresh Agarwal in OMG.

The Bollywood movie was already remade into Telugu and Kannada. In Telugu, the movie was titled as Gopala Gopala and stars Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh in lead roles. Kannada remake was titled as Mukunda Murari, which has Sudeep and Upendra playing the leads.

Mohanlal and Kamal Hasaan were earlier seen together for 2009 Tamil movie Unnaipol Oruvan. Interestingly, that movie was also a remake of a Bollywood movie titled A Wednesday. Now, the duo is going to team again for another remake.
