Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas Ignites Box Office with Blazing ₹191.5 Crore Opening Day Collection
With an opening day collection of a whopping ₹191.5 crore, Kalki 2898 AD, the highly anticipated Prabhas-Nag Ashwin film, is taking the global box office by storm.
The movie, which released yesterday (June 27, 2024), has generated tremendous buzz and is receiving a phenomenal response from audiences. Trade experts predict the film will easily surpass the ₹200 crore mark by its second day.
Inspired by Hindu mythology, Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi epic that unfolds across three distinct worlds: Kashi, Complex, and Shambhala. The film promises a visually stunning journey, bridging the gap between the epic events of the Mahabharata in 3101 AD and the year 2898 AD.
The star-studded cast boasts Prabhas as “Bhairava,” Deepika Padukone as “Sumathi,” Amitabh Bachchan as “Ashwathama,” Kamal Haasan as “Yaskin,” and Disha Patani as “Roxy.” The film also features surprise appearances by Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Devarakonda. Furthermore, Malayalam actors Shobhana and Anna Ben grace the screen in this “Brahmanda” (colossal) production.
Kalki 2898 AD, produced by C Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, serves as the first installment in the Kalki universe, hinting at sequels to come.
