Joju George’s Directorial Debut ‘Pani’ Finally Reveals Its Release Date!

Joju George, who began his career as a junior artist and steadily rose to become a beloved actor among Malayalam and non-Malayalam audiences alike, is stepping into new territory by writing and directing his first film, Pani. The highly anticipated movie is set to release in theaters on October 24 and will be available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, in addition to Malayalam.

Joju, who has spent more than two and a half decades in the film industry, has played a wide range of iconic roles. His performance in Joseph marked a major turning point, and he continued to showcase his versatility in films like Nayattu and Iratta, where he proved his ability to bring any character to life with depth and authenticity. Whether in moments of joy or sorrow, Joju has consistently resonated with audiences. Now, after years of experience and growth, he takes on the dual roles of screenwriter and director in Pani, a project that has sparked excitement across the industry.

Joju’s co-star in the film is Abhinaya, an actress who, in real life, is both speech and hearing impaired. Having previously acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, Abhinaya has defied her limitations, proving that dreams know no boundaries. Her return to Malayalam cinema after 10 years has only heightened anticipation among fans. Pani boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including stars like Sagar, Junaiz, singer Abhaya Hiranmayi, Prashanth Alex, and Sujith Shankar, alongside about 60 newcomers.

Filmed over a span of 110 days, this big-budget project is a blend of mass appeal, thriller, and revenge genres. Produced under Joju’s own production banner, Appu Pathu Pappu Productions, in collaboration with AD Studios and Sri Gokulam Movies, the film is backed by M. Riyas Adam and Sijo Vadakkan. A team of top-tier technicians from across the Indian film industry has worked on the film. The music is composed by Vishnu Vijay and Sam C.S., with cinematography by Venu ISC and Jinto George. Manu Antony handled editing, while Santhosh Raman oversaw production design, and Dinesh Subbarayan coordinated the stunts. Sameera Saneesh designed the costumes, and Roshan N.G. managed makeup. Production control was led by Deepak Parameswaran, and the film will be distributed by Dream Big Films through Sri Gokulam Movies. PR duties are handled by Aathira Diljith, with marketing by Obscura Entertainments.
