Ittimani Made in China: Mohanlal to play the character of a Thrissur native after 31 years

Complete Actor Mohanlal is all set to play a Thrissur native and that too after 31 years. He played a Thrissur native in Padmarajan directorial movie named Thoovanathumbikal 31 years back and that character had become an evergreen one in the history of Mollywood. It had become a classic movie which still has a huge number of followers.

Mohanlal’s use of Thrissur slang in that movie too got great acceptance and appreciation. Now, he is getting ready to use it in his upcoming project named Ittimani Made in China, which will be directed by the debutants named Jibi and Joju who worked under Martin Prakatt and Jibu Jacob.

They had written the screenplay for this movie which has been touted as a comedy entertainer. Antony Perumbavoor will bankroll this project under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas and as per the latest report, this movie will start rolling by next year May or June. It is said to be the Christmas release of Mohanlal next year.

More details about this project will be revealed later. Mohanlal is currently busy with the filming of Lucifer and after that, he will join Marakkar – Lion of the Arabian Sea. He had committed to do another project named Big Brother as well next year, which will be directed by Siddique.
