Indian Cinema made its royal entry to 1000 crore club through Baahubali 2!
At last, Indian Cinema had made its royal entry into the magical 1000 crore club. It is the magnum opus conceived by SS Rajamouli, titled Baahubali 2: The conclusion, which becomes the first ever motion picture in India to gross 1000 crores from the box office. The flick had surpassed that mark today and the official confirmation had come from the team behind the movie as well.
It only took just 10 days to surpass the 1000 crore mark from its worldwide run. From its domestic market, it had earned around 800 crores and from the overseas market, this flick had grossed over 200 crores as well.
The previous biggest grosser in Indian Cinema was Aamir Khan starrer movie named PK, which had grossed over 790 crores from its worldwide run. The interesting thing is that Baahubali 2 had grossed 800 crores from India alone. The first part of Baahubali also was a blockbuster hit as it had minted over 600 crores from its worldwide run 2 years back.
Now, the two parts together had grossed over 1600 crores and it is massive in all sense. Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam versions of this movie have been released and all version fared brilliantly at the box office.
