Honey Bee 2.5 Review: Fresh, unique, and engaging experience!
Honey Bee 2.5, the 3rd movie in Honey Bee series was released today here in Kerala. But this one was not directed by Jean Paul Lal, but Shyju Anthikkad who had earlier given us the movie named Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu. He had written this movie as well based the story written by Lal, who had bankrolled this flick under the banner of Lal Creations. They had introduced Askar Ali, the younger brother of Asif Ali through this movie as well. Expectations were not on the higher side because of the failure of Honey Bee 2 which was released in this year March.
Honey Bee 2.5 Trailer:
The plot of this flick revolves around the character played by Askar Ali, named Vishnu, who is seeking an opportunity to prove himself as an actor in Mollywood. That search takes him to the filming set of Honey Bee 2 and he became a part of the crew doing odd jobs. Then it shows some struggles and events that happen in his life and it tells how he copes with all those issues.
Shyju Anthikkad had really done a good job by presenting a simple story in an engaging and entertaining manner. Lal had written a very different story and Shyju had given a decent visual language to it. The plot situations were presented in a convincing manner and the situational humor has been used to good effect as well. There are emotionally appealing scenes as well in the movie and they have been successful in creating a proper climax portion as well.

Performance from Askar Ali was decent and he had done justice to the character named Vishnu. His acting looked easy in most of the parts, but at times the audience may feel that he is trying too hard. Lijomol Jose who played the character named Kanmani did a great job and she had given a matured performance. Harish Kanaran and Nirmal Palazhi also did a great job as most of their one-liners were accepted by the audience with applause. All the cast and crew members of Honey Bee 2 were a part of this movie’s cast and all of them including Lal, Asif Ali, Balu Varghese, Baburaj, Sreenath Bhasi, Bhavana, Jean Paul Lal etc done a fine job.

Antonio Michael had cranked the camera for this flick and his visuals were colorful and energetic. The music was tuned by Deepak Dev and he too did a good job by proving nice songs and cool background scoring. Ratheesh Raj’s editing was sharp and his cuts provided smooth sailing for the movie.
In total, Honey Bee 2.5 is a decent entertainer which will give you a different and fresh cinematic experience. Cinema inside cinema is always fascinated the audience here and this one too will satisfy you for sure.
