Hey Jude Review: A breezy tale which will touch our heart
Hey Jude directed by Master Director Shyama Prasad is the movie that has been graced the screen all over Kerala today. Young Star Nivin Pauly plays the lead in this movie which has been scripted by Nirmal Sahadev. The movie got great attention as it is the debut film of popular South Indian heroine Trisha in Malayalam. This musical romantic feel-good movie has been bankrolled by Anil Kumar under the banner named Ambalakkara Global Films and the flick has been distributed here by E4 Entertainment. The trailer and character posters from this movie had got great attention from the audience as well.
The plot of this flick revolves around the characters named Jude and Crystal. Jude is a special young man, who has some uniqueness in his behavior pattern. He is more or less like an innocent child. The plot starts moving when a girl named Crystal comes to his life. The film is all about their self- discovery, love, and transformation in life.
Shyama Prasad once again presented before us a story which has life in it. He always comes up with such movies and he presents it very realistically as well. Hey Jude too was such a movie which has been presented in a very realistic manner. But it has everything to engage and entertain the audience as well. There are humor, romance and emotional elements in the plot, which will make the audience feel closer to the characters on screen. The director had succeeded in presenting plot situations in a convincing manner. Nirmal Sahadev has to be appreciated for his quality screenplay.
Performance from Nivin Pauly and Trisha are the highlight of this film, Nivin Pauly has been given the career-best performance till now. He had given his all to the character named Jude. His body language has been great and his mannerisms as Jude was very much lovable as well. Trisha has been fabulous as usual and she had presented her character named Crystal beautifully well. She looked very cute once again and her chemistry with Nivin has been great, all throughout the movie. Siddique who played the father character of Nivin’s Jude had come up with a sterling performance and we can say that this the recent best performance we got from this seasoned actor. Other like Vijay Menon, Neena Kuruppu, Aju Varghese etc also did very well.
The DOP of this flick is Girish Gangadharan and his frames provided the apt atmosphere to tell this story. He beautifully captured the atmosphere in Goa and the visuals in the song sequences were just cool and beautiful. The lighting pattern has to be appreciated as well. Four music director had composed music for this film. Gopi Sundar, Rahul Raj, M Jayachandran, and Ouseppachan. All of them did a great job as each and every song in this movie was soulful. Ouseppachan’s background scoring too was fine. Karthik Joggesh is the one who edited the flick and his cuts made the film to flow forward very smoothly.
In total, Hey Jude is a feel-good entertainer which will give you something very fresh and different from what you have seen so far from Shyama Prasad and also from Nivin Pauly. As we said above, this film has life in it and it will touch your heart for sure.
