Flood Relief Fund: Donations flowing in from all over south India; Mohanlal donated 25 lakhs
The people of Kerala are suffering now due to the flood-related issues and the heavy rain is continuing all across the state as well. Everyone is trying their best to support and help the people who are suffering and the Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala is raising a flood relief fund to help the ones who need support. The donations are flowing in from everywhere and South Indian Film industry is doing their best to support the people of Kerala.
Today Complete Actor Mohanlal had donated 25 lakhs rupees to the Flood Relief Fund and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) also donated 10 lakhs to the fund as per their president Mohanlal’s instructions. The association also said that this is only a first installment and they will continue to give more in the coming days.
Other language stars also had donated great amounts to the flood relief fund. Tamil Stars Suriya and Karthi had jointly given 25 lakhs and Kamal Haasan also donated 25 lakhs. Telugu actor Vijay Devarkkonda had donated 5 lakhs as well. Along with film stars, businessmen like MA Yusuf Ali, B R Shetty Etc too donated 5 crores and 2 crores respectively to the relief fund. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and other popular political leaders too donated their one month salary to the relief fund.
Also, many actors including Mammootty, Jayasurya, and others visited flood relief camps. Many celebrities also requested people to raise relief funds and help those affected.
