Kalki 2898 AD: Disha Patani’s Character Revealed on Her Birthday
Ever since its announcement, every update about “Kalki 2898 AD” has generated excitement on social media. The anticipation for this Prabhas-starring film, directed by Nag Ashwin, continues to grow, and today the makers have a special treat for actress Disha Patani, who plays a pivotal role in the movie.
On her birthday, the makers unveiled Disha’s character through a first-look poster. Disha portrays Roxie, a fierce woman clad in a black jacket and pants. The poster depicts her leaning against a wall with a door in a seemingly industrial setting, possibly a shipping dock.
This role marks Disha’s return to Tollywood, where she made her debut in 2015 with “Loafer.” However, “Kalki 2898 AD” transcends regional boundaries, being a pan-Indian film.
The movie, one of the most expensive ever made in Indian cinema, boasts a star-studded cast. Alongside Prabhas, it features Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, Tamil actors Pasupathy, and special cameo appearances by Kamal Haasan, Shobhana, and Anna Ben.

Amitabh Bachchan portrays the immortal Ashwatthama, while Deepika Padukone plays a pregnant woman destined to give birth to the a chosen one. While Kamal Haasan appears in the trailer with extensive makeup for an aged character, his role remains shrouded in mystery. Rumors suggest he might be the main antagonist, with a potentially larger role in the expected sequel.
