Dangal becomes the biggest ever grosser in India surpassing PK!
Aamir Khan setting new benchmarks in Indian Cinema as his latest release named Dangal had emerged as the biggest ever box office success in Indian Cinema when we look at the domestic Box office figures. Dangal had surpassed the record of PK, which was also an Aamir Khan starrer, and become the first ever movie in India to cross 350 crore net from India alone. PK had got a net figure near 340 crores from India and Dangal had surpassed that figure in just 17 days time.
The total gross of the movie from India is said to be around 450 crores and the overseas gross had come near 180 crores as well. Thus the total earnings of this movie reached near 630 crores from 17 days. PK is at the top as it got around 790 crores from its lifetime run.

Dangal had created records in South Indian markets as well. In Kerala, it is on its way to create an all-time record for a Bollywood movie and it had already become the fastest ever movie to cross 2 crore mark at Ernakulam multiplexes surpassing Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan.
Pulimurugan had crossed that figure in 16 days and Dangal had touched that figure in 15 day time. In Tamil Nadu as well, Dangal had rewritten box office records set by Bollywood movies there earlier.
