The Biggest Malayalam Movie ‘Odiyan’ starring Mohanlal will start rolling from May 25!
Universal Star of Mollywood, Mohanlal is on a roll now as he is rocking Mollywood with back to back blockbusters. He had delivered three 50 crore earning Malayalam movies back to back and one of them had crossed 150 crores from its worldwide run as well. Apart from that, he had created a great market for himself and Malayalam Cinema all over South India and many parts of north India as well.
Now big films are coming for him one after the other. He is now doing B Unnikrishnan directorial movie Villain which is a big budget thriller and it will be the first ever film in the history of Indian Cinema to be shot in 8K Resolution. After that, he will be doing a movie titled Odiyan and it will be the biggest budget movie ever made in Malayalam.
Odiyan will be the debut directorial venture of Sreekumar Menon who will be directing Randamoozham, the biggest ever Indian Movie with Mohanlal next year as well. Odiyan will start rolling from May 25th this year and it will be produced by Ashirvad Cinemas owned by Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor.
National award winning writer Harikrishnan had penned the screenplay for this movie, which will be based on a myth that prevalent in Kerala many years ago. It will be one of the best ever characters Mohanlal played in his career as per reports.
Manju Warrier will play the female lead in it and Prakash Raj may play the villain. Reports say that a Bollywood actor will also be there in this project and there are chances that it will be Amitabh Bachchan. Sabu Cyril will be the production designer and Sreekar Prasad will be the editor. Peter Hein will do the action choreography and Shaji will crank the camera.
M Jayachandran will tune the music for this movie and the sound design will be Satheesh who designed sound for Baahubali, Kaminey, Rangoon etc. The VFX part will be handled by technicians from overseas and the main locations at which this film will be shot is Palakkad, Udumalpettu, Thasarak, Pollachi, Banaras, Hyderabad.
