August Cinema reluctant to reveal the official collection report of Theevandi because of The Great Father
Tovino Thomas starrer movie named Theevandi is rocking at the box office now and it has been already declared as the third blockbuster of this year. Pranav Mohanlal movie Aadhi and Mammootty movie Abrahaminte Santhathikal are the other two films which got blockbuster status this year. The unofficial collection report of Theevandi says that the film had already grossed over 10 crores from just 6 days of its run here in Kerala.
August Cinema had bankrolled this movie and one of the owners of August Cinema, Mr. Shaji Nadeshan, said to media that Theevandi may go to the range of Drishyam or Premam in box office if everything goes well. But he is reluctant to share the official collection report of this movie, because of the controversy that had happened around The Great Father produced by August Cinema last year.
The Mammootty starrer named The Great Father had created a lot of controversies last year in social media, due to the hyped box office figures published by August Cinema. Now, Shaji Nadeshan saying that he faced a lot of criticism due to that figures and he doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake. He said that with the end of this week, Theevandi will become the biggest grosser produced by August Cinema.
