Amaran Sees Sivakarthikeyan’s Best Opening Yet; State-Wise FD Collection Figures Revealed!
Sivakarthikeyan’s much-anticipated film Amaran has achieved a new milestone at the box office, delivering the actor’s biggest opening-day collection to date with an impressive ₹21.40 crore nett in India, according to data from Sacnilk. This achievement has catapulted Amaran to the fourth-highest Tamil opener of 2024, surpassing several major releases, including Dhanush’s Raayan, which collected ₹13.65 crore on its debut.
Leading the collection, Tamil Nadu contributed a massive ₹16.5 crore to the film’s earnings. The Telugu version also performed exceptionally well, pulling in ₹4.5 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with strong support in cities like Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Karnataka added another ₹1.9 crore to Amaran‘s tally, while Kerala contributed ₹1.2 crore. Other regions across India accounted for approximately ₹0.6 crore, with notable contributions from key urban centers.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and based on the life of decorated soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan, Amaran has struck a chord with viewers, thanks to Sivakarthikeyan’s powerful performance and Sai Pallavi’s impactful role. With a strong emotional storyline resonating with audiences, Amaran is expected to sustain momentum over the weekend, especially with the November 1 holiday in Tamil Nadu likely to boost footfall further.
