Adventures of Omanakuttan getting massive supports from movie lovers!
It was last Friday, Asif Ali starrer Adventures of Omanakuttan released here in Kerala. The movie was the debut directional venture of Rohit V S.
The movie opened with positive reviews was performing very poorly at the box office. This made the director of the movie to make a comment on the situation.
On Facebook, Rohit commented, “If you want to watch the film, do it before it goes off the screen”. The comment went viral and many movie lovers, as well as celebrities, came forward to support the movie.
Surprisingly, the movie is now getting better occupancy and even got houseful shows in some places. It seems like movie lovers taken up this experimental movie. Houseful show was registered at Aries Plex SL Cinemas Thiruvananthapuram for Monday night show. Heavy booking is seen in BMS for today’s night show too. Also, the movie ran to a packed house in Perinthalmanna Vismaya.
Last year Tovino Thomas starrer Guppy too faced the same situation. Guppy also fetched positive reviews but ended as a box-office failure. After the DVD release, everyone praised the movie and performances of lead actors.
After seeing raving responses from audiences, the lead actor Tovino Thomas posted on his Facebook page “It’s sad for us that a theater quality film is being enjoyed on mobile and laptop screens.”
Anyway, Adventures of Omanakuttan is showing a sign of a comeback. We hope that this movie will become a great box office success.
