Actor Madhavan received the best actor award on behalf of Mohanlal at SIIMA 2017!
SIIMA 2017 had taken place at Abu Dhabi today and it was a glittering event indeed. The presence of many top stars from all the film industries in South India made it a grand event. When it comes to the winners this year from Mollywood, the Top honor of best actor has been awarded to none other than Mohanlal for his portrayal of the blind Jayaraman in the movie named Oppam directed by Priyadarshan and Pulimurugan directed by Vysakh last year. But Mohanlal was not there to receive the award due to his tight schedules back here in Kerala. So, on behalf of Mohanlal, popular actor Madhavan had received the best actor award.
Actor Madhavan also won the Best Actor Critics Choice Award (Tamil) for his performance in the movie Irudhi Suttru.

Best actress award has been given to Nayanthara for her performance in Puthiya Niyamam directed by AK Sajan. She won the best actress award in Tamil as well for her performance in Irumugan directed by Anand Shankar.
Kammattipadam won the best film award from Mollywood and best actor critic’s choice award was given to Nivin Pauly for his performance in Action Hero Biju and Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
Best actress Critic’s choice award has been given to Asha Sharrath for her performances in movies like Pavada and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. Best director award has been won by Vysakh for Pulimurugan.
