Aby Movie Review: A Beautiful Feel Good Inspirational Movie!
After so much anticipation, the movie titled Aby starred by Vineeth Sreenivasan had hit the screens last day all over Kerala. It was written by popular writer Santhosh Echikkanam and directed by a debutant named Sreekanth Murali. As you all know, the story of this movie was taken from the real life incidents happened to a man named Saji Thomas, who is a dumb and deaf guy from Thodupuzha. This movie has been bankrolled by Suvin K Varkey under his banner named Little Big Films and Central Pictures had distributed the movie here in Kerala.
The plot of this flick revolves around the title character played by Vineeth Sreenivasan named Aby. He is a special child, who does not have the capacity to speak and his hearing capacity was also not that great. His only dream was to fly one day and he constantly tries for that from his childhood. After the death of his mother, he began to speak and he is always great at scientific experiments. The film focuses on his efforts to make an aircraft of his own and fly in it.
Sreekanth Murali had made an impressive debut as he had given us a feel good movie which can inspire as well. The plot is simple and he presented it with humor and emotion. It was told in such a way that it touches the heart of the viewers. The contribution of Santhosh Echikkanam also has to be mentioned here. He made it very engaging till the very end and situations in the plot were very realistic as well as convincing for the viewers.
Vineeth Sreenivasan’s performance is the major highlight of this flick. He had given his flesh and blood to the character and become Aby in all sense. It was his fabulous portrayal which made this a beautiful movie. Vinitha Koshy who played Aby’s mother, Sudheer Karamana who played Aby’s father also done a great job. The show stealer was Suraj Venjarammoodu as he had come up with another great performance in it. Marina Michael, Aju Varghese, Hareesh Perady, Manish Choudhary, Dileesh Pothen etc also done a good job in the flick.
DOP of this flick was Sudheer and he had given some sterling visuals for this flick. Music was given by music directors, Bijipal, Anil Johnson and Jason J Nair. All of them had done a great job as the songs and background scoring blended really well with the plot. Editing by Sooraj ES was neat as well.
In total, Aby is a beautiful simple feel good movie which will make a place in your heart for its simplicity, originality and for the happiness it brings to your heart.
