Finally, Megastar Mammootty starrer thriller titled Abrahaminte Santhathikal graced the big screens in Kerala. It was written by Haneef Adeni who had directed The Great Father last year with Mammootty in the lead. This movie was directed by debutant named Shaji Padoor and was bankrolled by Goodwill Entertainments owned by Joby George. The posters, teaser, and trailer of this movie had got great appreciation from the social media platforms and this movie can be called as the most hyped Mammootty film after Masterpiece which released last year.
The plot of this film revolves around the character played by Mammootty, named Deric Abraham. He has a brother named Philip Abraham played by Anson Paul in this movie and as the title suggests, the film tells about these two brothers. Deric Abraham is a cop and the film shows us an investigation of him to save his brother from some grave danger. As this is a movie with some suspense and twists, we cannot reveal more about the plot here.
Again, a promising director had made his debut here in Mollywood through a Mammootty starrer. We can say that Shaji Padoor had done a fabulous job in his debut film. Haneef Adeni had written a tight screenplay which is filled with thrill, mass moments and emotions. Lack of comedy will never bother you as the screenplay and dialogues were really thrilling. Shaji Padoor had given a superb visual language to this screenplay, which appeals to the fans of Mammootty and neutral audience alike. Shaji’s presentation of the plot was very stylish as well. He had given great importance to the technical aspects of this movie and that made it a brilliantly made thriller. The emotional depth of the movie was very much convinced the audience about the plot situations and that’s the thing which made this movie a good one.
The performance of the Mammootty is the highlight of this Flick. Mega Star was energetic and his screen presence was just stunning as well. His performance becomes the backbone of this movie and as Deric Abraham, he had given one of his best performances in recent times. Anson Paul, who played an important character in it, had done a very good job as well. Anson Paul played Philip with conviction. Other artists like Kaniha, Siddique, Renji Panicker, Jog Japee, Kalabhavan Shajon, Maqbool Salman etc also done well.
The DOP of this flick was Alby and he had done a fabulous job by giving some stylish and mass visuals. Music was tuned by Gopi Sundar and it was good as well. Special mention has to be given to the electrifying background music he had given, which elevated the mass effect of this movie to another level. This movie was edited by Mahesh Narayanan and with his brilliance, he had given this movie the pace which required to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.
In total, Abrahaminte Santhathikal is a stylish investigation and suspense thriller, which will never disappoint you. It will satisfy the fans of Mammootty for sure and at the same will be a good cinematic experience for those who love thrillers.
