Aadu 2 Movie Review: A laugh riot and a clean winner
The major release which had graced the screens here in Kerala today, as a part of Christmas Celebrations, was Aadu 2. This movie which was written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas is the second part of the movie named Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu starred by Jayasurya. The first part was released in 2015 and it was the debut directorial venture of Midhun Manuel Thomas as well.
Even though the first part was not made much of an impact in the box office, it had got a great number of followers after its DVD release. The popularity got by the characters in this movie prompted the makers to think about its sequel and Aadu 2 was the result of that thought. Friday Film House which produced the first part had bankrolled the second part as well.
The plot of this flick revolves around the character named Shaji Pappan and his team. It has all the major characters which we saw in the first part and it is a continuation of the situations which we saw in the first part. The film focuses on the current situation in which Shaji Pappan and his team are in and it shows us how they land in new problems and comes out of it.
We can say that Midhun Manuel Thomas had done a terrific job as a writer and director. His screenplay was the backbone of this film. It was filled with humorous situations and hilarious dialogues. Each and every character made the audience laugh. There is not just comedy but mass as well in it. The story has been told in a different background and big canvas.
Performance by Jayasurya as Shaji Pappan has been the highlight of this flick. He has been absolutely stunning as Shaji Pappan once again. His body language, style, and dialogue delivery have been fabulous throughout the movie. Vinayakan has been fantastic as Dude and Dharmajan Bolgatty has been sensational as well. Saiju Kuruppu has been hilarious as Arakkal Abu and Vijay Babu made us laugh through his energetic portrayal of Sarbath Shameer. Other like Bhagath Manuel, Nelson, Sudhi Koppa, Sunny Wayne, Biju Kuttan, Harikrishnan, Unni Rajan P Dev, Vineeth Mohan, Srinda, Mammukkoya, Aju Varghese, Irshad, Kottayam Pradeep, Indrans, Sethulakshmi, Baiju etc too had played their part to perfection.
The visuals from Vishnu Narayanan has been colorful and cool. Music by Shan Rahman has been great and once again he created magic through his background scoring. Lijo Paul had edited the flick and it had provided the movie with great pace.
We can definitely say that Aadu 2 is a fantastic fun filled entertainer which worth each of the penny you spend to watch it. It is hilarious and will make you laugh a lot. It is a complete fun ride for youth, children and family audience. If you love to laugh, then don’t miss this laugh riot.
