My Dear Kuttichathan to grace the screens again!
My Dear Kuttichathan is the first 3D Movie ever made in India and Malayalam Cinema holds this unique record in Indian Cinema that they had produced such a brilliant movie for the first time in Indian Cinema History. It was released in the year 1984. On August 24th, 1984, the film had hit the screens here. The flick has been produced by Navodaya Appachan and it was directed by Jijo, who was the son of Appachan. The film was scripted by Raghunath Paleri and TK Rajeev Kumar together. It was a very big success during that time. As per reports coming in, the movie will be re-released for the 3rd time here in this coming Onam season. It will have a 2K projection this time here in Kerala.
The film had re-released for the first time in 1997 with DTS sound effects. Scenes of artists like Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadish, Salim Kumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Indrans, Nadirsha etc were added in the re-released version. Then the flick re-released again in 2011 in a digital format. In the 2011 version of the movie, scenes of artists like Prakash Raj, Urmila and Santhanam were added. In the original version, the lead roles were played by Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair, Alumoodan, Dalip Tahil, Master Aravind, Master Mukesh, Surya Kiran etc.
