Autorsha Review: A class entertainer which will offer you something very fresh
The movie which was released here today was Autorsha, which was directed by popular cinematographer Sujith Vasudev. It is his second directorial venture as he had made his debut as a director through Prithviraj starrer James and Alice two years back. This Autorsha is a woman-centric movie scripted by Jayaraj Mithra and Anusree plays the central character in this movie. Sujith Vasudev had produced this movie as well in association with, Manju Pillai, Mohandas and Lenin Varghese under the banners named MD Media and Larva Club. The making video and teaser of this film had got great attention from the audience.
The plot of this film revolves around the central character named Anitha, played by Anusree. Anitha is a woman who makes her living by driving Auto and the story is set in the background of Kannur. The film shows the interesting events that happen in her life and how she responds to those incidents.
We can say that Sujith Vasudev had come up with a very different movie this time. His first venture was a romantic family drama and this one named Autorsha was very much different from that. We can call it a comedy and family movie at the same time. It has moments which evokes curiosity and thrill as well. There are certain moments in the plot which may allow us to call it a satire too. On that sense, Sujith Vasudev had given as a clean entertainer which will appeal to every kind of audience. The screenplay by Jayaraj Mithra has been great as well. He is known for his hilarious screenplay for the satirical TV series Marimayam and he once again showed his talent of creating interesting plot situations which were realistic and humorous. The dialogues too were good and Sujith Vasudev had given a fantastic visual language to the screenplay.
The performance by Anusree as Anitha was the backbone of this movie. We all know that she is an immensely talented actress and she once again underlined that fact through her performance in this movie. She played this character with conviction and her performance was very much natural. Her dialogue delivery and body language have been terrific as well. Rahul Madhav, Tini Tom, Shankar Indhuchoddan, Naseer Sankranthi etc too did well in the movie along with many newcomers.
Sujith Vasudev himself cranked the camera for this movie and the way he shot some sequences were just fabulous. Some of his shots were truly amazing and his visuals spoke a lot in this film. Sharreth is the music director of this film and he had given some beautiful songs. John Kutty had edited the flick and his sharp editing had given a great flow to the narration of the story.
In total, Autorsha is an entertainer and a different cinematic experience for you all. It has a life in it and will give you something fresh in all sense. Even though it is a woman-centric film, it will give everything which you want from a clean family entertainer.
