Kayamkulam Kochunni broke the record set by Baahubali 2; UAE/GCC release today
The much-awaited Kayamkulam Kochunni will hit the screens here in Kerala tomorrow and the premiere of this film will take place in UAE/GCC countries tonight. As per the latest reports, Kayamkulam Kochunni had broken the record set by Baahubali 2 here in Kerala.
Baahubali 2 was the film which got the most number of screens here in Kerala and it played the most number of shows on the first day as well. It was released in 320+ screens and played over 1350+ on day one. But Now, Kayamkulam Kochunni will be released in 350+ screens in Kerala and it will have 1700+ shows on day one here.
The paper advertisement regarding its screen count and shows has been out today. In UAE/ GCC, Kayamkulam Kochunni will share the first-day screen count record with Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan. Both these films had got 82 locations at UAE/GCC countries. As of now, Pulimurugan is the highest grossing South Indian Movie at UAE/GCC countries. Its Malayalam and Telugu version together had grossed over 38 crores.
Kayamkulam Kochunni is all set to chase that record too if it gets highly positive reviews after the premiere. Along with Nivin Pauly, the presence of Mohanlal is making things easy for this film to attract a huge crowd to the screens.
