Shikkari Shambhu Review: Shambu will hunt down a lot of hearts with laughter and thrill

Shikkari Shambu is the movie that had graced the screens all over Kerala today. This comedy thriller has been directed by popular director Sugeeth and produced by EK Lawrence under the banner of Angel Maria Films. Popular writer Najim Koya had written the screenplay of this movie and Kunchacko Boban played the male lead in this flick. Along with Kunchacko Boban, artists like Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Harish Kanaran also played important characters in it. Shiva played the female lead in this movie, which was one of the most anticipated films of this season thanks to its great trailer and songs.

The plot of this flick revolves the character played by Kunchacko Boban, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Harish Kanaran who plays Philipose, Achu, and Shaji. They come to a village named Kuruthimalakkavu in the disguise of hunters. The villagers believe that these three will hunt down the tiger which is killing the people there. But the real aim of these three is something else and the film shows us about it.

We have to say that Sugeeth had once again delivered a complete entertainer and he proved that when it comes making thrilling entertainers, he is a master in it. We saw his talent as a filmmaker, in movies like Ordinary and Madhura Naranga before. Najim Koya had provided a solid platform for the director with his engaging screenplay which has everything it to entertain the audience till the very last. It has a lot of comedy numbers it along with a great suspense element. The director had great control over the proceedings and he had mixed up all the elements in the right proportion to make it a thrilling fun ride.

Kunchacko Boban as Peeli had given a sterling performance in it. He was in his elements while playing Peeli. Along with him, Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Harish Kanaran made the audience laugh a lot with their comedy numbers. Shiva and Alphonsa who played the female lead characters also done well. Other artists who played major characters in this movie are Maniyan Pillai Raju, Krishna Kumar, Johny Antony, Sphadikam George, Saddique, Salim Kumar etc and they all did a fine job as well in it.

Camera work for this movie has been done by Faisal Ali and he had done a fantastic job by providing great visuals for the flick. Sreejith’s music was also decent and V Sajan had done an amazing job as an editor for this flick. His sharp cuts kept the movie flowing forward at a smooth pace and made it a technically brilliant film.

In total, Shikkari Shambhu is a great fun ride which you all can enjoy, with a lot of laughter and thrill. It is a complete package for you to relax inside the cinema hall and will never let you down if you are looking for an entertainer which is a paisa vasool one.
