Aamir Khan starrer Dangal is now 5th highest grossing non-English Movie ever!

The movie Dangal was released 6 months ago in India and still, the movie is in the news because of its phenomenal box office performance. The movie is now India’s biggest blockbuster at worldwide box office. It was only a few weeks ago, the movie released in China and it is performing greatly there. This Aamir starrer flick also becomes the first Indian movie to enter 1000 Crore Club at the China box office. Now, Dangal achieved another milestone at the international box office.

With a total collection of $301 million (Rs. 1937 Crores), Dangal becomes the 5th highest grossing non-English movie ever. Other movies in the top 5 list are The Mermaid ($553 M), The Intouchables($427 M), Monster Hunt($386 M) and Your Name ($ 354 M). Out of these movies, two of the movies are from China (The Mermaid & Monster Hunt). France and Japan are in the list with The Intouchables and Your Name respectively. This is the first time, an Indian is entering the list of Top 5 highest grossing non-English movies.

Interestingly, Dangal is still running in China and is expected to break Your Name total collection within days. Dangal also becomes 30th biggest hit worldwide in 2016. In Indian box office, Dangal is behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Baahubali 2 is also going to release in China soon.
