Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol crossed the 30 crore mark from Kerala alone!
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Jibu Jacob, had released on the 20th January this year and it completed 5 weeks run here in Kerala. After completing 36 days run here in the state, the movie had collected over 30 crores from here and become the 3rd consecutive 30 crore+ grossing Malayalam movie in Mohanlal’s career.
Last year we saw his movies like Oppam and Pulimurugan doing the same as well. Oppam had grossed around 65 crores in its lifetime run and Pulimurugan had grossed over 150 crores. Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol had become the 3rd consecutive Malayalam blockbuster of Mohanlal in 5 month time. When considering his other language movies, then it is his 5th consecutive blockbuster in 5 month time.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is now steadily moving towards the 50 crore mark in box office from its worldwide run. As per unofficial reports from UAE/GCC Market, the film had already crossed 10 crore mark from there. The rest of India figure is around 5 crore and the gross from US and UK together is around 2.5 crore as well as of now. In rest of the world market too, it had performed well and the total gross of the movie from its worldwide run till now is around 50 crore. The official declaration will come very soon.
