49th Kerala State Film Awards declared; Jayasurya and Soubin shared the award for best actor
The much- awaited 49th Kerala State Film Awards has been announced today by the Honorable Cultural Minister AK Balan. The best actor award has been shared by Jayasurya and Soubin Shahir. Jayasurya won the award for his brilliant performances in Captain and Njan Marykutty. Soubin Shahir had won the award for his performance in the movie named Sudani from Nigeria.
Nimisha Sajayan had won the best actress award for her performances in Chola and Oru Kuprasidha Payyan. Kanthan, The Lover of Color had won the best film award and the best director award has been won by Shyama Prasad for Oru Njayarazhcha. Muhsin Parari won the award for best screenplay, which he had written for Sudani from Nigeria.
Joju George won the best character actor award for his performance in Joseph and the best playback singer male award has been won by Vijay Yesudas for his song in the same film.
Shreya Ghoshal is the best female singer for the song in Aami and K U Mohanan won best cinematographer award for Carbon. Shammy Thilakan won the best dubbing artist award for Odiyan and Sameera Saneesh won the best costume designer award for Kammara Sambhavam. Joy Mathew is the best story writer for Uncle and Popular film award went to Sudani from Nigeria.
